Lady in red
It’s been a busy couple of weeks here at analogue girl illustration! One of the many projects I have an oar in is this one; a poster design for a ConFAB club night based on a musical written by Rachel Jury. The brief was 1940s glamour with a male / female duality evident in one figure. I went for Marlene Dietrich meets Dita Von Teese with a masculine tailored dress look in burgundy. We wanted to hint at the musical side with the mic in the centre and light radiating out from it, splitting the canvas in two. Duality, splitting, subtlety… see what we did there?
