GENERAL FANFARE!
Well, this morning turned into a mad rush of activity when I heard word that Amelia of Amelia’s Magazine was looking for a very swift illustration indeed. At 11:30am I began and had to have it emailed before 2pm when it would appear on her blog. In two hours I had drawn and coloured an illustration of Biscuiteers Royal Wedding Tin at her request. It was sent and then I heard word soon after that it had made the grade! I know this piece of news is a bit link heavy, but do have a look at it on her blog here. Scroll down until you see it!

I was simply asked to reply to her Twitter request to draw these biscuits. They are very jolly and topical so I took it on as a quick challenge. I was so pressed for time that the five biscuits and their tin took 5 minutes each to colour in, hence their ‘lively’ and childlike appearance! I had a stopwatch alarm go off and I would change my pencils accordingly. I’m chuffed to be on her site. Hope you enjoy the images!

BANG!
Well, “FIZZ!” at least… Finally Joy Dunlop’s logo is finished! She’s a professional Gaelic singer and needs a logo for her record label; ‘sradag’. It translates as the word ‘spark’ from Gaelic, so she obviously wanted a logo that would communicate that across both languages. We’ve been through many different versions but managed to settle on one yesterday. It’s the most corporate design I have done yet and was a challenge from start to finish. Pretty chuffed with the end result and she is too. It was hard earned!
If you’d like to see what Joy does (and what she sounds like!), have a wee look at her site here. Needless to say, I may be her biggest fan! She’ll possibly take out a restraining order soon.*
* just kidding.

Remember to keep track of my Daily Drawings – here’s a little selection of six different ones. It turns out I’ve done twenty five altogether – I have been at it for five weeks already! You can see them all on twitter/twitpic or on the analogue girl illustration facebook page, even if you’re not signed up. I’m going to be keeping it up each day for as long as I can and concentrating on many more characters and narratives. You know what I mean… storytime! I’m obviously working on other things too – among them, a logo project for Gaelic songstress, Joy Dunlop and also something interesting for the NHS. Stay tuned for more news. In the meantime – catch up with my drawings on a daily basis!
