Chunky dog

Here’s a taster of some work I did last week for another Glasgow based company, this time for Chunk. I pushed together a series of my favourite drawings from the speedy job and made this scene up for you to have a look at. The dog in the foreground is having a think about all the things he likes to do, including sniffing lady dogs, annoying both cats and wildfowl and digging about for bones. He loves it.

ZINE LAUNCH AHOY!

Behold! The cover of my latest venture, a ‘zine’* titled ‘Free Range’. In a discussion with a German friend in London, he asked “Are you still a free range illustrator, no wait… I mean freelance.” After we finished laughing, I realised that the new description fitted me even better than the freelance label. I travel, I get daily fresh air, I peck at grain in the fields. Anyway, the theme of this first issue is ‘world meets rosie’, based on my daily travel journal. There’s pieces inside comparing lollies of the world, signs, some mini comic strips and a map… There’s a pull out centrefold poster too! Have a look at ‘world meets rosie’ here in case you’re not familiar with it. Enjoy! If you’d like a zine, they’re on sale NOW! All new, three pounds!

They’ll be officially launched tonight – and they’ll be available all weekend at ‘curvy girl’ on Morningside road in Edinburgh. There are badges up for grabs too if you’re quick! Brave the weather, go on.

* Zine definition: An inexpensively produced, self-published, underground publication. Like a personal magazine.
